People shoots the alien, the doctor (scientist) saved him.. he was suppose to be injected by a solution, the doctor put in water.. they became close.

She found out that Klaatu, the alien, is here to save planet spankwire/earth from human.. to prevent earth to be destroyed.

She convinced him that human can change and so, everything stops.. the earth stood still and the destruction was not done.
